Mufti Shamoon Qasmi, National President of Rashtriya Sarva Dharma Ekta Parishad, said that there is no threat to Muslims of India from the Rashtriya Svayemsewak Sangh (RSS). He said the threat comes from some organizations that do not want the Muslims to be part of the mainstream or the RSS.

Mufti Shamoon Qasmi who is a prominent clergyman from Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district said that the game plan of outfits like SIMI and PFI through their involvement in the stone-pelting cases and the riots have been exposed. He wondered if a single instance of the RSS being behind such cases has come to the fore.

Qasmi's statement assumes significance after the allegations leveled by some organizations against the RSS and its affiliates.

According to PKBNews, Shamoon Qasmi said the RSS is the only organization in the country which considers national interest above religion, caste, and clan.

Mufti Shamun Qasmi said that anti-social, anti-social elements can be members of any community. Replying to AIUDF MLA Aminul Islam’s allegations against RSS, the Mufti said that RSS has a Muslim Rashtriya Manch wing too, so does it mean that the people of Muslim Rashtriya Manch are also beating Muslims to death?

He invited Aminul Islam and his supporters to attend the RSS morning shakha at least once. “There they speak about love for one’s country and discuss the ways to deal with the evils of society. This discussion does not refer to any caste, group, religion, or community.”

He said at the Shakhas, the volunteers of RSS discuss plans for the welfare of Dalits, the Most Backward, Minorities and Scheduled Tribes, and ending untouchability. They also work on strategies to bring all disadvantaged communities into the mainstream of society.

Mufti Shamoon Qasmi said the real enemies of Muslims are many Muslim organizations that collect donations from India and abroad by fear-mongering about e Muslims being under threat from RSS and Hindu organizations.

He said the organization set up in the name of Muslim interests is the real culprit as they want to avail of the political and economic benefits by seeking to defame the RSS and Hindu organizations.
