Virushka’s daughter Vamika's face revealed; fans call her 'mini Virat'

New Delhi Anushka Sharma and her daughter Vamika's pictures went viral over the internet when the duo was captured by the broadcaster while enjoying Virat's batting from the stands. The actress was carrying her little munchkin in her arms while they watched Virat playing on the field.  The fanfare went haywire on the much awaited revelation. The social media was stormed with Virat and Anushka's childhood pics for resemblance; the fanfare ended up calling the munchkin  "mini Virat". New Delhi The living legend of Kathak, Birju Maharaj, who had been diagnosed with kidney disease a few days ago and put on dialysis, died at his home here late on Sunday. He was 83. Maharaj ji, as he was popularly known, was said to be playing with his grandsons when his health unexpectedly deteriorated, requiring him to be rushed to the hospital, where he died of a heart attack. A recipient of the country's second highest civilian honour, Padma Vibhushan, Maharaj ji was also a lifelong Kathak guru as well as a talented Hindustani classical singer and percussionist. He will be remembered by cinema buffs for the two period dance sequences in Satyajit Ray's historical drama  Shatranj Ke Khiladi  (for which he sang as well) and for the  Kaahe Chhed Mohe  track picturised on Madhuri Dixit in the 2002 version of  Devdas .   Bhubaneswar Popular journalist of NDTV news channel, Kamal Khan, passed away after suffering a massive heart attack at his Butler Colony residence in Lucknow of Uttar Pradesh. He was 61. Khan was working as Executive Editor with NDTV. He was a recipient of Ramnath Goenka Award, and Ganesh Shanker Vidyarthi Award from the President of India. Colleagues from across the media industry expressed feelings of shock and grief on learning of his demise. Separated in partition, brothers meet after 74 years at Kartarpur

  New Delhi   Two brothers separated during the partition of the Indian sub-continent in 1947, met each other after 74 years at Kartarpur Gurudrawa of Pakistan on Tuesday.   The video of their union that was arranged by relatives and maybe even activists, has been shared on Twitter by Pakistani media, and it's being liked and commented upon by people from both countries.   On the Indian side an independent journalist ravinder Singh Robin shared the video of their reunion: Emotions run high and tears wouldn't stop from the eyes of septuagenarian brothers who were divided during Indo Pak partition but reunited at Kartarpur Sahib after 74 years. New Delhi A little girl from Kashmir had caused a stir on social media with her video in which she is reporting the bad condition of the road close to her home, somewhere in Kashmir. In the video orignally posted on Twitter by Sajjid Yusuf Shah on Monday, the girl in pink jacket, wearing duck boots and holding a lapel mike turns a reporter to show the bad condition of lanes and bylanes around her house after the recent heavy rainfall and snowfall. This girl, who name is yet to become public, has created a storm on the internet, with netizens complimenting her for her coverage. The Kashmiri girl is complaining that guests cannot come to her place because of the bad road condition.      “Itni gandi road hai ki mehman bhi nahi aa sakte  (the road is so bad that guests also cannot come),” the girl said while directing her camera person, probably her mother as she refers to her as “mom,” to show the potholes and the other side of the road. It is his passion to embrace the danger of finding out tigers in deep forest and taking their pictures. Wildlife biologist Mohammad Firoz Ahmed from the North East is one of the internationally acclaimed tiger experts in India. He hogged the limelight when his camera clicked a full grown tiger resting in water in Kaziranga National Park in 2010. Later he discovered that the national park had the highest density of tigers per hundred square km in India. Firoz has been a part of the tiger census teams in various tiger inhabiting forests of the North East including the Kaziranga National Park. He led the intricate camera trapping exercise in Kaziranga from 2008-2013 and thereafter it is being carried out by the park management at regular intervals. Afreen Hussain/Bengaluru The decision to restrict Muslim girl students from wearing hijab or headscarf when in classrooms by a government college in Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka has drawn strong reactions from the students.  The order happened in response to a section of students protesting - they came to the college wearing “saffron” scarves and shawls demanding that the college’s specified dress code be in classrooms. The student group protested until the college authorities asked all the girl students to take off their headscarves before entering the classrooms. The degree college, however, clarified that the students are allowed to wear the hijab anywhere else on the college campus. This was the second edition of the book  Picnic.  Shah Taj Khan is an award winning author of Uttar Pradesh Urdu Academy, who lives in Pune. Picnic  was released on Monday by the students of the District Parishad Urdu School, Wasai. It was a unique inauguration ceremony because this ceremony was performed by the students of District Parishad Urdu School beyond its traditional style.
